Meaning of Religious Violence
Religious violence is any form of suffering or persecution meted out to people because of their religions. It includes: intimidation, assassination, slavery, suppression, denial of justice, mockery, killing etc.
Why Religions Violence should be Avoided:
- God Is God Of Justice.
This justice is manifest in creation as perfect, universal, unchanging and impartial. The fact that you are a president, judge or reverend does not in any way shield you from the laws.
- The Laws Are Spiritual.
The laws of nature are intelligent and impartial. No one can escape their compensation or retribution (karma).
- The Law Of Reciprocity
demands that whatever you do to people must be done to you in this life or in the next life time.
- In Subsequent Life Times, Positions Are Swapped Where Necessary.
The strong is made weak and the weak is made strong; the rich and the poor exchange status; Likewise, the influential and insignificant; even the the leader and the follower, etc.
- There Is A Spiritual Video,
that records whatever a person does. You cannot deny your actions or escape boomerang, whether good or bad. The spiritual video is the light you see everyday. It instantly records whatever you think, say or do, and transmits the same to heaven. The clear evidence is that you cannot record video without light, just as you cannot see yourself in a mirror in the absence of light. The Gods are wiser than the world.
- Spiritual Progress Is Delayed.
When a person is untimely killed, his spiritual development become disturbed and hindered. Therefore, the person has to reincarnate again to continue his spiritual progress.
- Religious Violence Causes A Lot Of Untimely Death,
regrets, emotional upset, social upheaval, hardship; etc.
- The Person Persecuting Others Delays His Own Spiritual Progress,
and must at one time and the other suffer similar persecutions. That is why it is said that two wrongs cannot make a right, and that evil breeds evils, while one good turn deserves another.
- Once Is Not Enough.
The fact that God once asked believers to kill non-believers is not a reason for a group to be killing people of other religions from time to time. The main reason why Israelites killed the Canaanites was because their ancestors occupied the land, illegally. They broke the covenant Noah made among his three sons that none should encroach on the rights (territory) of another.
- There Is No Change In Nature.
Physically, people may be killed. But spiritually, the killing has neither affected the person, nor changed his nature and character. Man is spirit. This spirit cannot be killed or damaged by weapons, cut a by knife or wet with water. It is only the body (flesh) that is destroyed. Therefore, religious killing is of no effect. The persons killed will only reincarnate and continue their religious beliefs and practices from where they stopped.
- The Best Way
The best way to change people’s mindset is not force. God allows everybody free will and free choice. If killing non-believers were the solution, God has more than enough Angels to eradicate mankind. One Angel alone can kill all the citizens of a nation in 1 hour.
- Experience Is The Best Teacher.
The best way to change people is experience. That is why experience is the best teacher. By series of reincarnation and experiences, people come to know the best path to follow in life.
- Other Ways
Other best ways of changing people’s mindset are education, enlightenment, persuasion, dialogue, and especially loving-kindness.
